What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a community-oriented Spanish Language school that offers Online Spanish Classes to adults and support to anyone learning Spanish as a second language. Our method focuses on tailored Conversational Spanish lessons for private and small group classes (4 PPL max). We also host several local events in San Diego, CA, and immersion trips to Spanish-speaking countries.
Tell us about yourself
I have always been passionate about languages; while studying abroad from Feb 2011 to July 2012, I had the opportunity to teach English as a second language to Chinese children - I fell in love with education. When I returned to the states, I decided to post an ad on Craigslists and started teaching my native language - Spanish. It snowballed from there.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My students and witnessing their progress. My fantastic team and the community that we have built.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Finding the ideal balance between work and life.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find and nurture a great team that complements your skill set or is better than you.
