Tell us about yourself

I'm a trusted professional with 21 years of experience in the Hospitality, Travel, and Tourism industry. My professional knowledge includes hotel site selection and destination travel globally for corporate and incentive groups, meetings, and events. My most recent role as a Global Account Executive working for a global travel management company allowed me to sharpen my consulting expertise in destination management and develop a strong calling for cultural awareness in order to improve intercultural effectiveness.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

To be able to make a difference in a culturally diverse world. Setting an example for my children that they can do anything and they, too, can accomplish their goals.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing is self-discipline and being your own advocate in order to push yourself to your limits.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. START IT!!!
  2. It doesn't have to be all or nothing. Celebrate the small wins!
  3. Turn off the noise! Just keep your mind busy on what's in front of you.
