Tell us about yourself
I always rooted for the underdog as a kid. There was something magical about witnessing someone achieve greatness when their backs were against the wall, and victory seemed impossible. After receiving my MBA, I started my career on Wall Street and entered the finance space, but I felt an obligation to make a difference on Main Street. I was more impressed with a new restaurant staying in business after two years than a publicly traded company outperforming the market.
I pivoted my professional focus from finance to accounting and quickly found my calling in helping small business owners make sound business decisions by understanding the financial health of their companies, keeping them compliant, and guiding them to succeed. The success of my clients and my amazing team of bookkeepers and accountants motivate me each and every day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have been blessed with an amazing team that continues to shine brighter each and every day. I am surrounded by extremely talented, passionate, and responsible accounting professionals who make Cubepros special. Leading my team has been my biggest accomplishment by far.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Surrounding yourself with the right team is critical to being successful. You are only as strong as your weakest link.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
