What's your business, and who are your customers?

Established in 2014, CSM Practice is the first Customer Success Strategy consulting firm in the world. The firm helps companies reduce churn and grow to upsell revenues by designing and implementing Customer Success Strategies. By working with CSM Practice, companies adopt a customer-centric approach encompassing the entire customer lifecycle, including onboarding, adoption, upsells, cross-sells, and renewals. Having worked with over 100 high-growth and enterprise technology organizations, our firm developed unique methodologies to launch an effective Customer Success Strategy for your internal customer-facing teams, as well as ones you can offer your resellers, MSPs, and VARs.

Tell us about yourself

My customer success career started in 2013 when I joined Gainsight as their Head of Solutions Consulting. It was then that I realized my true calling. Customer Success is my passion. Hence, the inception of CSM Practice in 2014. It motivates me to do better, knowing that what I do impacts other people's lives and their companies. Thus, I constantly strive to improve and reach more people.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

This past year has been momentous for my company and me. Not only have we acquired some big clients, but I was also rated as one of the Top 50 Women Leaders in Customer Success 2022. I was also named as one of the 42 Most Engaged With Customer Experience Experts, Women of Influence: 25 Innovative Customer Experience Leaders, and Top 50 Customer Success Influencers 2022.

My biggest accomplishment was hiring an impressive team. We pride ourselves on offering our clients the best consulting services possible, and our team is a perfect fit for our mission. The future looks bright when you're surrounded by great people. I'm so proud of the whole CSMP team and how far we've come. We will continue to strive to be a great place for our employees to work as we grow.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Having to worry about the financial side of things. Making sure that all my clients get the best service we can offer them.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Make sure you understand your market.
  2. Develop unique solutions that separate you from your competitors.
  3. Confirm with your clients that you delivered value, and don't be afraid to ask for testimonials proactively.
