What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business name is CSC Performance Coaching. We help athletes move, feel and perform at the highest level through fitness, nutrition, and mindset development, so they reach their full potential in life and succeed in their sport. I have worked with all levels of athletes, from juniors and beginners to advanced lifters, Olympians, and professional athletes.

Tell us about yourself

My name is Mark Cormier, and I'm a strength and conditioning coach located in Hamilton, Ontario. Canada! I'm certified through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP). I specialize in health coaching, athletic development, functional movement, and golf-specific training.

For the past 13 years, I've been developing athletes involved in various sports, including basketball, soccer, football, lacrosse, volleyball, track and field, hockey, and golf. This has given me a great understanding of what the body needs to function at a high level. I've worked with amateur athletes all the way up to Olympians and professional athletes too. I've also worked with many high-level professionals looking to gain more balance in their lives through health and fitness.

Now, my primary clientele is golfers, and I've worked with recreational, amateur, collegiate, and professional golfers. I'm also Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified – Fitness Level 2. I'm very passionate about the game of golf, and I want to help golfers use fitness to reach their true potential.

I still do work with very busy professionals looking to improve their health too. I work multiple jobs, and I have a young family. I know how hard it can be to make time for your health when you have a lot of responsibilities. I offer a 12-week program called "The Executive," This program has helped so many people get their lives back on track and improve their health. If you feel like you're in a rut and don't know what to do, then this program is for you. It's flexible and can be done from the comfort of your own home.

Follow my social media pages for an inside look at what techniques I use to help people reach their true potential. If you're interested in taking your life to the next level, contact me, and LET'S GO! I love helping people and showing them that anything is possible! That's what motivates me to show up every day and be the best for my clients.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I would say my biggest accomplishment is to still be here after so many years. When I started to train people, I didn't know where it would take me, but I have met some amazing people through training that has helped me enhance my business with different offerings. I hope to release a book and an app in the near future to complement my services as well.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Everything else other than my training. Because I'm a small business without a full staff, I have to do a lot of everything. From setting up and maintaining my website to being the salesperson, accountant, marketer, and so on! I am grateful that I have the opportunity to do all these things, but I hope eventually to source these things out.
