What's your business, and who are your customers?
Sono Essence is a Crystal Infused Skincare Brand! We have specifically paired organic ingredients and crystals with a daily beauty ritual to create the perfect manifestation blend. Within each Beauty Ritual, a daily mantra for manifestation is said out loud or in one’s mind to bring forth the energy of healing and a beautiful, healthy glow. Our mission is centered around Empowerment and Self love. We challenge you to become the best version of yourself externally, internally, and spiritually.
Tell us about yourself
Taylor Scarpello, Integrative Health Practitioner. I greatly understand how obstacles along one’s journey, especially skin imperfections, can affect mindset, confidence, and outlook on life. I have struggled with Cystic Acne for over eleven years and suffered from Epstein Barr Virus, which tore my world apart. After trying every external product on the market and searching for solutions to heal on the outside, I decided to take matters into my own hands and turn inward, connecting Mind + Body + Spirit to heal within. I firmly believe by living a holistic lifestyle, one’s soul can optimally thrive.
My goal is to empower others to achieve limitless beauty through organic components found within the earth. By connecting the Mind, Body, and Spirit with organic products and mindful beauty rituals, the essence of beauty becomes one with the soul. Inspired by the Mind + Body + Spirit connection and love of Holistic living, Sono Essence, LLC was born. Founded in 2020 by Taylor Scarpello in her Secaucus, NJ kitchen. Sono, the Italian meaning of “I Am,” I am beauty, I am Whole, I am Essence.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner thus far is creating a successful business from my kitchen and, months later, being featured in Vogue Magazine.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things is finding the balance between work, life, play; and allowing yourself rest/ time away from your "desk."
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Go For It! Do not let the fear of the unknown hold you back
- Build your empire. You are worthy of creating the life of your dreams.
- Do not let others' negative feedback/ negativity or opinions knock you down!
