What's your business, and who are your customers?
Crowned consults with a focus on operations management, combining strategy and process improvement with digital transformation. We offer support to startups, small businesses, and other entrepreneurs.
Tell us about yourself
I started my business because I wanted more autonomy over my schedule and who I could work with. I'm a natural problem solver. When clients have roadblocks or need to improve an aspect of operations, I analyze the issues by looking for common trends and applying a combination of organizational structuring and data-driven solutions. I'm motivated by my drive to succeed for my clients, using my strengths to help our clients save valuable time, allowing them to focus on the big picture.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is celebrating eight years in business and the meaningful relationships I've built with our clientele from a variety of industries.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
There are lots of moving pieces. From supporting clients to the back-end work, which can get overwhelming if you're not delegating as needed. I would also include aligning your expectations, there will always be uphill battles, and you should prepare yourself and your business for those instances.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Success doesn't happen overnight. Give yourself some grace, and keep learning.
- Leverage technology to your full advantage. It can make your work so much easier.
- Research your industry and target market. Understand what your customers want so you can offer those types of products/services.
