What's your business, and who are your customers?
We help creatives create videos as if they came straight out of Hollywood. They can follow the tutorials we publish on YouTube for free. We have a digital library full of professional products on our website. We also have an academy where we teach them everything about making epic videos.
Tell us about yourself
I discovered filmmaking when I was a teenager and have been addicted ever since (2008). I have worked on Hollywood feature films and commercials since the age of 18. For over 10 years, I have been sharing my knowledge about advanced filmmaking and visual effects with hundreds of thousands of subscribers on YouTube.
Two years ago, I began laying the foundation to work together with my subscribers on a more intimate level. After a lot of tweaks, updates, and new features, I can now proudly present the Epic VFX Academy. As of today, I'm helping more creatives than ever to create epic videos without feeling overwhelmed. At age 21, I co-founded the company now known as 'CreatorGalaxy' with my best friend, Arnaud Melis. Starting out as just a video production company, CreatorGalaxy now provides Visual Effects assets to people from all over the world.
Now at 29, I am interested in tech, gadgets, and nice watches. I have many hobbies, including Wing-Chun (martial arts), playing the guitar, watching a good movie, and having a great time with friends.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to help hundreds of thousands of creatives in their journey to create epic videos. This motivates me every day.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
As a creative person, I have so many ideas and projects in mind, but unfortunately, like everyone, my time is limited. That is why I really have to allocate my time well to create the biggest impact and help as many people to create epic videos. But I'm lucky; I have a great team that helps me achieve this!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Start with something you know/you are passionate about.
- Create a clear business plan & test demand before you spend massive amounts of time on it.
- Prioritize customer satisfaction; if your customers are happy, your business is successful, and your product will sell itself.
