What's your business, and who are your customers?
Crazy Goat Soap is an all-natural soap made for anyone who has sensitive skin or just wants their skin to feel silky smooth.
Tell us about yourself
When I was 11, I bought a dairy goat from a local farmer who kept jumping the fence. They called her the "crazy goat" and wanted to sell her. I bought her, and soon our fridge was full of goat milk, so I began experimenting with soap recipes. I created one I was happy with and began sharing it with family and friends. With encouragement, I began my Crazy Goat Soap company at just 11 years old! Animals make me happy, and each day I'm motivated by doing what I love.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is when my Crazy Goat Soap brand gets recognized. It's amazing to have my soap shipped to so many different people all over the USA.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner is balancing running my business, going to school, and doing my chores on the farm. I couldn't do it all without the support of my family.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
My biggest tips for another young entrepreneur are not to be afraid to go after your dream, let your family and friends support you, and marketing is what will make your business successful.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I'm now 13 years old, but no one should judge me for being young. I may be young, but I have a lot of great ideas for the future of my business.
