Interested in growing your personal brand as a woman in real estate? Brand Coach Courtney Freitag can help!

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a personal brand coach, strategist, and graphic designer for gutsy, tenacious women in the real estate industry. They're ready to ditch the boring brokerage templates and develop a high-converting brand that boosts commissions, confidence, and quality leads.

Real estate is a highly personal experience. When you lead confidently with a personal brand that is an extension of you, marketing and messaging begin to reach through the screen and evoke emotion in your audience.

Tell us about yourself

I started my career as a newspaper reporter helping readers stay informed, engaged, and entertained through storytelling. That love of words and stories started when I was young when I used to hide a tape recorder to catch the raw, unfiltered conversation. Then after having a newborn, four words changed everything I thought possible for myself. The words were, "we can't accommodate that." It was a response to my request to work from home part-time to remain IN my career while caring for my baby. (Way before Covid).

My GenX upbringing, from college to job to marriage to home to a baby, was being turned on its head. Our son was later diagnosed with autism, and I was thrust into entrepreneurship to fill a gap in the market and launched a local print magazine for the autism community.

Now I help other women who want autonomy and choice in how they make money. There isn't ONE path to worthiness and success, and when we infuse that personal brand story into your marketing, business expands (just like you!)

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I was recognized by Cheryl Strayed and others as a Mental Health Hero for my commitment to mental health resources in our local community. https://www.trilliumfamily.org/feed/2015-mental-health-heroes.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Insane pressure to be everywhere, have everything perfect and overcomplicate things. Work-life balance when you are the default parent. Compare and despair in the online space.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. It doesn't have to be polished and perfect to be profitable.
  2. Confidence begets confidence.
  3. Self-care is never selfish.
