Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in content creation but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Gabby Ianniello, founder, and host of Corporate Quitter, located in New York, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Corporate Quitter is all about helping people ditch the 9-5. On our podcast, Corporate Quitter, we interview entrepreneurs and side-hustlers who share their stories and provide listeners with actionable steps to help them achieve their own goal of ditching the 9-5. We also help motivated individuals build a brand through podcasting so they can share their stories with the world and get paid just to be themselves.

Tell us about yourself

I quit my job in February 2021 to pursue an online business, but I didn't have a plan. While I was in the process of trying to "figure it out" I was having a hard time finding someone who was documenting their process truthfully, sharing the challenges and wins, and so I became that person. I love being able to educate and inspire budding entrepreneurs through authentically sharing and my own experimentation!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

We've recently been globally recognized in the media, having done interviews and photoshoots with the New York Times, Good Morning America, CNBC, Chicago Tribune, ABC, CBC, The Telegraph, New York Post, Reuters, and more!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Vulnerability. It's hard to constantly keep showing up, putting out content, etc., especially when sometimes when there's a creative block OR things are "not so great."

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Start with podcasting - it's the easiest, least expensive way to hone in on your story and get clarity on what your "thing" should be.
  2. Get on TikTok - it's true that one video can change your life (it has for me). It'll also get you REALLY comfortable in front of the camera, which is so important if you have big goals for your business and want to be up in lights.
  3. Share with everyone what you're doing - I've started so many side hustles prior, and the reason why this one stuck is because "the world" was holding me accountable. I told everyone I was doing X thing, so I had to show up and do X thing.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

THIS IS THE TIME TO MAKE MOVES (we're in the early innovators' stage of Web3)
