Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Stephanie Madden, Founder and Co-Owner of Copper Wellness, located in Chicago, IL, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Copper Wellness is an integrative wellness clinic serving patients in Chicago. We offer acupuncture, chiropractic services, massage therapy, and a sauna.

Tell us about yourself

I wanted to create a space that people want to be in. Our patients are working on themselves, mind, body, and soul. I wanted to make sure the journey to wellness is as enjoyable as possible.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner thus far is people wanting to work with me as a patient but also want to join the practice. I am fortunate to have grown a network of wonderful people that continues to feed Copper Wellness's positive energy.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Hands down, the hardest part is managing people. It's easy for people to see your vision when it's working seamlessly, but when people drop out of the flow, it's hard to redirect them.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Create your ideal work environment.
  2. Don't sweat the little stuff.
  3. Take a vacation.
