What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a local craft distillery producing whiskey, bourbon, and rum. Located in Longmont, CO, our community includes local residents as well as the whiskey community at large.
Tell us about yourself
I got into the art of blending whiskey by traveling the world and falling in love with the different regional variations of spirits. My motivation is my staff, my family, and the product we provide to the consumer.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to take care of my staff with a good environment and benefits and shaping them for their future endeavors.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Being able to change vision from short term to long term and seeing the varying issues that may arise and be problematic for the company.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Treat your staff with respect, and they, in return, will take care of the customer.
- Don't be afraid to take risks and push the bounds.
- Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you.
