Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Rosa Flournoy, Founder of Convenient Concepts, located in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is Convenient Concepts, focused on self-care, including components of mental, physical, emotional, social, professional, and spiritual. My customers are working professionals who lack work-life balance in their day-to-day lives. I provide products and services to help clients reclaim balance in their lives.

Tell us about yourself

I decided to start my business because I realized the challenges of lacking a proper work-life balance. I realized the work environment is not in alignment with employees' needs to make sure we are taking care of ourselves to the best of our ability. I am motivated by knowing burnout is a large problem, and I will strive daily to reduce stress for others. Loving a healthy holistic life is very overlooked and important. I care about people, and I'm passionate about making a difference in their lives.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is developing relationships with other business owners who allowed me to have my books in their businesses. This opportunity allowed me to expand my reach for customers to discover my products.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing as a business owner is understanding the process takes baby steps before seeing huge results.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Get started.
  2. Write down a to-do list.
  3. Ask others for help.
