What's your business, and who are your customers?
We, Anjuli Mahendra and Alok Rocheleau, bring deliciously deep and nourishing embodiment practices that cultivate confidence, connection, and presence. Our unique teaching style seamlessly weaves together the practices of yoga, contact improvisation, and Thai Massage.
In our classes and retreats, we explore a wide range of movement and touch, from dynamic to therapeutic. You will gain skills to align your body in supporting others and tools to be more responsive and flexible in body and mind.
Tell us about yourself
We started teaching together right after we met 12 years ago, as it was an obvious way we could share our love of embodied practices such as partner yoga and Thai massage. I love teaching people how to create more freedom in their bodies and helping others reduce stress and tension.
A resonance happens through touch that is beyond words and involves deep listening. We open to greater joy, freedom, and presence by cultivating these heart-centered and somatic practices.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to teach retreats in some of the most beautiful venues in the world and spread loving-kindness!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
All the effort it takes to fill our retreats and find venues that align with our strict sustainable and regenerative practices guidelines.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
