What's your organization, and who are your members?

Compassion Delivered is a 501c3 non-profit that provides meals to individuals suffering from life-threatening or terminal illnesses at no cost to them.

Tell us about yourself

My wife supported a company in Colorado where her cousin worked. We learned that they supply meals free of charge to those in the area with life-threatening or terminal illnesses. We wanted to find a local organization that we could support that did likewise, and we loved the mission. We met with numerous meal services in the area as well as the two most prominent hospitals. We found that in 2017 there were over 2000 individuals who could use our services, and nobody served this specific demographic, and everyone who did deliver meals all charged for them. So we decided to start a non-profit to serve those in our community.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

We just celebrated five years, and 20,000 meals were delivered for free!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Finding those to donate to our organization so we can provide the meals at no cost.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do your research and know your demographic.
  2. Don't be afraid to ask for help.
  3. Surround yourself with those who lift you up and challenge you; both are needed to grow.
