What's your business, and who are your customers?

Personal and Organization speaking, training, and coaching on leadership, resilience, and creating a Circle of Success that is sustainable and profitable.

Tell us about yourself

I am a retired U. S. Navy officer with significant leadership experience at all levels of the organizations in which I worked. I am also a retired high school Navy Junior ROTC manager and instructor. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science from Lynn University, a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University, two Master's level Certificates in Human Resources and Project Management, and lesser degrees in Business Management and Accounting. I am a Certified John Maxwell speaker, trainer, and coach. I am involved with two Veterans Service Organizations that provide outreach programs to the Youth and Community in the Jacksonville, Florida area. I am Chairman of Patriotic Education, Incorporated, providing patriotic education educational resources nationwide. Lastly, I am President of my Scots-Irish Clan, Clan Uisdean USA, who are family members of the McCuistion (and various spellings) family.

What motivates me? The intrinsic reward I receive from impacting and making a difference in the lives of others in my community and the various organizations with which I am involved. My mottos include 1. Developing leaders who develop leaders, and 2. Keep Your Success Quest Alive. My favorite quote is Henri Bergson's idea from his Creative Evolution that says, "To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly."

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Influencing individuals and organizations to better serve the needs of their employees that create sustainable growth, resilience, and engagement while reducing conflicts and loss of employees.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Keeping the grind of the Daily Agenda motivating, resilient, and sustainable. John Maxwell says that your Daily Agenda is your key to success.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Don't chase the money.
  2. Keep people and their growth at the top of your list of "To Do" List.
  3. Self-reflection is a daily requirement.
