What's your business, and who are your customers?

As a holistic health coach, I help my clients leave self-sabotage and diet culture behind by embracing sustainable healthy habits and mindset shifts so they can reach their goals and keep their results.

My wellness blog contains fundamental strategies and solutions that are simple so that you can start living your best life.

Tell us about yourself

In my 40s, I became a distance runner and naturally started focusing more on my overall health. Although I was feeling pretty good, I knew I could feel better.

After meeting a health coach in my running group, I hired her to help me solve my issues with extra weight and low energy. While working with her, I realized this was the work I was meant to do!

I went through a certification program and have been helping clients ever since. I'm motivated each day by the big and small wins they experience. Blogging is a recent addition to my business. I love it because it allows me to connect with and share my expertise with a broader audience.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I achieved my optimal wellness while helping hundreds of others do the same for themselves.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

In the beginning, you get to wear all the hats (marketing, bookkeeping, program design, etc.), and that can be both a lot of fun and tiring at the same time.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Ditch perfectionism and start before you're ready.
  2. Work hard and avoid the hustle culture. Running a business requires hard work. Just don't sacrifice your health for your business.
  3. Don't forget to have fun along the way!
