What's your business, and who are your customers?
I have created a holistic wellness box gathering products around several universes: natural cosmetics, healthy food, and lifestyle. I aim for all women to take care of their body and mind in a natural way, with goods with healthy products made in France. Using the product with complete transparency is essential for these women. The box is like a little "self-gift," with the discovery each month of new products at home to provide a holistic and positive experience around wellness.
Tell us about yourself
During the lockdown, I thought about all the products I use on my skin and put on my plate, which have a bad impact on my global health. Curious about knowing what I put inside my body (and the lockdown was the perfect moment to take care of yourself), I learned how to read all the cosmetics labels and healthy food products. I was surprised to figure out that almost 90% of all the beauty and food products I have in my house were not good for me. Since then, I have become interested in healthy and natural products.
And I said to myself that I was not alone in this situation. Many people are convinced that the products they use are beneficial; however, they ignore all the little ingredients it contains that are very harmful because they can not read them properly on the label. Through this consciousness-raising, I decided to create a wellness box, bringing authentic and good products to women who wish to take care of themselves naturally but who do not know which one to choose. The Cocoon Box offers high-quality products, with natural benefits, created by little companies based all around France.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Since my brand is online, I am very proud that I created the website and all the communication strategies around it. This was hard work, but with passion, I am now deeply convinced that we can reach our goal successfully.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
As a business owner, you must deal with many tasks in one job. Indeed, you have to create your newsletter, build your marketing strategy, make some dynamic communication on social networks, and of course, manage all the accounting and legal parts behind it. That is quite challenging as you have to organize your time around all these missions; however, this teaches you so many things that feed your skills day after day.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Settle a strong strategy before starting to grow: I advise you to take some time to think about your brand's personality to get a strong universe.
- Don't rush. Make things clear: I remember when I started, I wished that things go quickly, but I learned after that this is better to have strong bases, to go on surely.
- Provide valuable content: Speak about your offer on the social network, newsletter is good; however, you have to provide legitimacy for your potential customers. That's why I believe in marketing free content as a great strategy to create a strong relationship. With Cocoon Box, I share many healthy food recipes, DIY cosmetics recipes, and wellness rituals each month to inspire my community around the product of the box.
