What's your business, and who are your customers?
Coastal Wandering creates travel, food, and home content to help people who love the beach bring a little of the beach lifestyle to their everyday life.
Tell us about yourself
After spending years in a corporate job, I was looking for a change. I combined my love for travel, food, and photography to create a beach-inspired website. I truly enjoy what I do, and that's what motivates me every day.
Do you have daily rituals for work / wellness / fitness / mindfulness?
I do have a few rituals - I like to start the day in nature with a walk on a trail or on the beach. If I'm at the beach, I'll listen to the waves, but if I'm walking a trail, I'll listen to a podcast. I'll follow that up with some stretching and a cappuccino at home before starting work.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Creating a community of people whose hearts are at the beach.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Being a solopreneur, everything is up to you. It's both the best and hardest part of being a business owner.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Choose something you love to do. That's what will keep you going during challenging times.
- Invest in learning the skills you need to succeed in running your business.
- Put the work in, and don't give up. Success doesn't happen overnight, but you get closer every day.
