What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a strategic partner for your talent development solutions and the author of Confidence, Clarity & Ease: A Guide For Emerging Leaders To Thrive. My passion is to inspire and equip men and women to lead with excellence and authenticity within the spheres of influence that they are called to impact in their life. The spheres may be in a home, on a team, in a classroom, among partners in a firm, or within management, to name a few.
I work with clients globally, in person, via phone, or by Zoom:
- Senior Leaders and professionals who want to develop stronger leadership skills, have an impact and move forward in their careers.
- Teams who want to work cohesively within their organizations.
- Coaches who want to renew or apply for certification with ICF.
When people want to improve their leadership skills, transition from managing to leading, ensure their team is amazingly successful, increase their own self-awareness and progress in their career, or aspire to be masterful coaches for their clients, then I am here to support them.
Tell us about yourself
I began my career as a mathematics teacher. However, after the birth of my first son, I left teaching to be a stay-at-home mother. Not long after, my mother has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer, and I began to travel regularly to care for her during her final days.
I also experienced the loss of my father not long afterward due to heart complications. The deaths of both parents in such a short period of time, as well as the birth of my second son, were life-changing experiences- defining moments.
I began looking for deeper meaning and purpose in my life. And thus began the journey into the professional coaching industry. I discovered how much I enjoyed empowering people to lead well in the spheres of influence they are called to engage in.
Many are competent in their skills. However, it is the human skills that somehow get tabled in favor of results. We see more and more that this can no longer be ignored. Thus, developing the leader and helping teams work cohesively has been challenging and so worth it!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is the growth that I have seen in myself as a business owner: knowing that success in my business does not serve as my identity.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things in being a business owner is managing your love of the service you provide and doing your due diligence to grow the business. Many entrepreneurs begin businesses because of their love for the services that they are providing. However, it takes a lot more to actually ensure that you have a thriving business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Work with a Business Coach/Consultant, so you know the foundational elements that are needed to have a thriving business.
- Don't have your energy focused on your competition. Bring your focus to what you are providing and do it with excellence.
- Take time to evaluate what is working and what is not. It is ok to pivot and make mistakes. In fact, it is needed. Much of the greatest learning that occurs is within the mistakes you have made.

You are not going to be able to do everything well. So, surround yourself with people that will do the following:
- Give you constructive feedback
- Bring strength in areas that you lack
- Challenges you beyond your comfort zone
