Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in marketing services but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Buck Wise, Owner of Closing Day Agency, located in Scottsdale, AZ, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm the owner of the fastest-growing, full-service marketing agency based out of Scottsdale, Arizona. Our clients are global businesses producing >$2M in annual revenue in a variation of verticals.
Tell us about yourself
I started in a radio broadcast, where I had a syndicated radio program and worked alongside Ryan Seacrest out in Los Angeles, syndicated to over 45 markets; I saw a growing trend for marketing needs in the digital space and started my own agency working with amazing midwest brands like major league baseball, north American international auto show, and eventually sold my agency to the world's largest holding company and started working with big brands like Nike, Starbucks, Google.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Helped other business owners get more clarity, save more time and make more money.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Building and scaling my own business 3 times, building businesses with hundreds of employees, making millions of dollars in revenue, and helping change the employees' lives that work with us.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Progress over perfection.
- Create, create, create. Quit consuming; too many business owners are consuming content instead of creating their own omnipresence and staying in front of their competitors. It isn't the best business that wins; it's the most known.
- Invest in yourself and your business so you can learn real data and real strategy and grow your business faster.
