What's your business, and who are your customers?

ClearBrand is a results-driven marketing agency that helps companies scale with a full suite of digital marketing services. We typically work with companies making $1 million to $25 million in revenue.

Tell us about yourself

I started ClearBrand after helping a whiskey distillery quadruple revenue in one year. I loved helping them grow so much that I decided to start a marketing agency to help other businesses grow. I believe small businesses change the world with their products and services, and I'm on a mission to help them reach more people.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping our customers. We've helped our clients achieve up to 71X ROI with our marketing services. I absolutely love helping people.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Knowing that I must live with the consequences of my actions and decisions -- whether good or bad. My mistakes cost way more than they did when I was an employee.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do it to help people, first and foremost. This is what will keep you motivated when things get tough.
  2. Find a good team. Hire people better than you. That's how you'll achieve long-term success.
  3. Stay focused on your customers. When finances are tight or you're in a hiring crisis, it's easy to get stressed. But this makes your team stressed and focused on the finances. It's a distraction. You need your team to stay focused on serving your customers.
