What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business, and my passion, is to support people in fulfilling their potential as leaders and in teams. My customers are business owners, team leaders, developers, consultants, customer service employees, process engineers, project managers... people who want to move their business and themselves forward.
Tell us about yourself
I have always loved working with people and providing the foundation on which they can do their best work as a leader and as a coach. After many years leading teams, I did a certification as a facilitator and discovered that I really enjoyed it and was good at facilitating workshops with teams. My passion for supporting people in achieving their goals motivates me every day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is hard to say, as every time a customer leaves a session satisfied with what we have done feels like a big achievement. Apart from that, setting up my own business, entering into this business, and making it a success is what I would call my biggest achievement.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things as a business owner is having to say no to potential customers when I don't have time to help them effectively. Thankfully I can usually recommend a colleague, so that makes it easier to make that decision.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Figure out what your passion is, find out where you can get support to set up your business - like finding a mentor - and be ready to try things out, even if you had not thought of them in your original business idea. I did some online training before the pandemic but had not done any remote coaching before that, and now it forms a significant part of the coaching that I do. Ask satisfied customers to write you a review so that potential customers can use them in their decision-making process.
