What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a unique Spa, Salon & Wig Centre. We offer the Best Facials in town; honestly, a sensory experience you will never forget! We have a scalp center with a Trichologist on staff helping fine and thinning hair for women mainly. Our Wig Centre has expert specialists with a hair background to customize pieces for everyone's needs. (we can also assist alopecia and cancer patients in private rooms for comfort). We love to serve & educate our guests and give them the results they are looking for so they look as amazing as they feel.

Tell us about yourself

I'm a self-starter, motivated & passionate individual who loves what I do. Having a great partnership with my two business partners, who also work right in the business, helped me to be able to still serve and pamper the guests that I've seen for over 27 years at City Looks. We have a team of about 40 talents that we coach and mentor, which really makes it all worthwhile to work together and collaborate to excellence; proud to say it has earned us 5 TOP SPA Awards over the past seven years. I've been honored to hand pick & offer the very best in cutting-edge brands in the beauty industry and the very best in education so that we can take what we learned and clinical studies and help the needs of all our guests.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Referrals are the Biggest and Best Compliment you can have, new team members have joined us from word of mouth in the industry. Having our guests come back year after year knowing they are going to get the very BEST from all of us is definitely the best accomplishment I am so proud of.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Probably not having enough time in a day that you would like to accomplish more.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

After 25 + years in business, we just sold our business to a MedSpa Company in Winnipeg called Visage. We are excited to elevate what we do with an ecosystem of new services and more experts in the beauty industry.
