What's your business, and who are your customers?
I provide executive coaching services and run leadership, culture change, and transformation workshops and strategy events for senior IT executives and their organizations. My goal is to "Make a living by making a difference" in helping people to maximize their potential and support them in their leadership journey.
Tell us about yourself
I started my practice part-time while I was an active CIO and transitioned full-time at the end of 2016. What gets me up each morning is the privilege and responsibility to support people striving to improve themselves as leaders to make a greater difference in their colleagues' lives and impact their organizations' success.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My success is based on my clients' success. I have had countless clients either get promoted or get new senior leadership roles who have told me that my coaching was instrumental in preparing them for this level of success. This is far more meaningful to me than any revenue number I may hit in a given year.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
You are a one-man/woman show! You are the CEO, the consultant, the executive coach, the finance manager, the administrative assistant, and the janitor, lol!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Pursue something you are passionate about.
- Find ways to make a difference in the lives of others.
- Focus on "your special sauce," the thing that makes you uniquely you!
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Starting and growing my practice and helping people on their journey has been the most rewarding chapter in my professional life.
