What's your business, and who are your customers?
The Chrysallis.AI Metaversity is a revolutionary SaaS AI learning management system with advanced real-time behavior analytics and AR/VR for a fun, interactive learning experience. Our clients are business-to-business, K-12 & higher education students, as well as adults looking to upskill.
Tell us about yourself
I was born and raised in a small town called Dayton in the great state of Ohio. If you've heard of the Wright Brothers, then you've heard of my hometown (aka The Birthplace of Aviation). I have over 18 years of experience in the information technology field with an emphasis on cybersecurity. My co-founder, Anna London, and I are currently lead cybersecurity instructors for ThriveDX (formerly known as HackerU), where we teach at universities. Prior to landing at ThriveDX, we taught for another company, and that is where we met. We connected and agreed that there was a need for a more enhanced learning environment for cybersecurity content, not only for our current students but younger learners and those looking to transition into our career field. That is how Chrysallis.AI, Inc. was born. My daily motivation is knowing that I'm helping to transform minds and change people's lives by teaching them cybersecurity and hopefully helping them begin their new careers.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our biggest accomplishment is seeing our platform transform into what we have visualized when creating the company. We still have a lot more growth ahead of us, and I am excited to see what unfolds in the new year.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
I would say the hardest thing we have encountered is being told no or people not being able to connect to our vision. Being a business owner is not easy, but the pros far outweigh the cons.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don't give up when there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel because that is when your breakthrough is bound to happen.
- Always seek out wise counsel and have a team of advisors who will help lead you in the right direction.
- Your business should provide a solution to a problem/issue. If it does that, you know you're on the right path and can move forward to make the company successful. Oh, and be Coachable!
