Tell us about yourself
Hi! I am Christine Giana, and I am a serial entrepreneur. Mode 8 Yoga is my first brick-and-mortar, and it all started when I decided I wanted to create a team to help more people with health and wellness. My motivation each day is knowing there is so good to create in the world. If we could all just be in the present long enough to see it, there could be less suffering.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is getting through the pandemic and not only surviving, but our community is thriving, especially when so much of the fitness community in the southeast part of Houston had to shut down. Our yoga world in the Clear Lake area is everything.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest part that comes with being a business owner is connecting with teammates or clients; then, they have to move away or cancel memberships due to financial issues. We will miss them so much.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do personal growth work. Your business is only as strong as your mindset.
- Stay positive, and keep your focus on your goals daily, weekly, quarterly, and yearly. Always watch your numbers.
- Have fun, and do not be in a rush. Enjoy the trail on the way to the summit; it will be less stressful!
