What's your business, and who are your customers?
I hand craft body butter, wax melts, sugar scrubs, beard butter, and candles! My customer base is ANYONE that wants to treat themselves after a long week 💜 anyone that needs some self-care and soft skin. Anyone that deserves something nice. My products are baby-friendly and every other step in life that you're in.
Tell us about yourself
What motivates me is my family. I have two daughters. A teenager and a one-year-old (yup, I am crazy lol), I use my body butter for both of their skin types. Especially with my little one crawling everywhere, she can use the extra moisturizer on her little knees. My teenager loves the sugar scrubs, especially before she shaves, and the body butter for the smooth finish. (And, of course, to smell amazing). Then my amazing husband benefits from the beard butter. He works so hard with rough materials his beard NEEDS extra love and care. No one wants to kiss a face with rough hair on it (ew), so I definitely benefited from him using it.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Finally getting started! Took me a while to finally do it, and I can't be happier.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Getting customs to check out my products. Much easier to keep 'em when I get 'em, but it's definitely tough drawing in the attention.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do it! Buy the stuff you need and do it!
- Don't give up.
- Advertising is everything! Word of mouth is everything!
