What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am THE ENERGY SOURCE for the typical boring conventions and primarily Sales Kickoffs events. I have been hired over 1000 times in the past 29 years for clients like Apple, GM, Lennar Homes, Lenovo, and MassMutual. I do customized, engaging workshop-style opening and closing sessions to help people get clear on what is important and what they are neglecting, inspire a more compelling vision, and mindset, and switch on their performance to increase personal performance, productivity and revenue.
Tell us about yourself
I worked with Tony Robbins for six years, ultimately becoming his international point man in the UK and Australia. I formed my own company in 1995 and have been driven to make a difference ever since. I have pivoted because of the pandemic to help companies drive healthy habits in their employees. I am launching EmployeeWellnessVideo s.com shortly. I help make good wellness programs great.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Helping hundreds of thousands of people make new decisions to improve their lives.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Surviving the many economic challenges over the past 25 years that impacted the meetings industry - 9-11, Global Financial Crises, the Pandemic. Always finding a way to make it happen.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Pick unique ways to stand out and be different with your offering. Do not be me too. As Jerry Garcia said - You do not have to be the best. Just me, the only one who dies what you do. Everyone does not have to like you.
- Talent is overrated. You have to be a plugger and do the work consistently.
- Use leverage. The tendency is to try to do it all yourself. Use the expertise of others and free agents on Fiverr who have skills you do not.
