What's your business, and who are your customers?
Maternal and mental wellness. My clients are individuals, families, and companies.
Tell us about yourself
I founded the wellness center in 2012. I have a Ph.D. and am an LPC Supervisor, LCDC, Yoga Therapist, Licensed Massage Therapist, Licensed Esthetician, Licensed Midwife, and Health & Fitness Coach.
I have been counseling individuals, couples, and families since 2010. During this time, I have collaborated with other therapists and treatment facilities to understand the needs of the community. I have also obtained certification as a yoga and massage therapist as well as a health and fitness coach to include more of a holistic approach to working with clients. Due to my belief in caring for the whole person (mind, body, and spirit), I extended my counseling skills to other areas, and along this journey, I extended my services to include midwifery and esthetic work. I was licensed as a midwife during the COVID pandemic in 2020 and as an esthetician in 2022.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Starting construction on my wellness center.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Feeling alone, and all things are resting on you.
