What's your business, and who are your customers?

As Chef Tina Harget, I create healthy options as a personal chef. My newest venture is the creation of my Veggie & Vegan Burgers. I sell veggie/vegan options that are free of fillers. I sell these at various Farmers' Markets in the Burgaw and Wilmington areas of NC.

Tell us about yourself

As a person with genetically high cholesterol, I was eating a lot of fake meat and store-bought veggie burgers. After realizing the high sodium content, I felt I could make a better option. Burgers that are free of fillers such as soy and packed with protein without the added sodium.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I am a very new business. Keeping that in mind, I am grateful that customers enjoy the food I make.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Remember to stay positive and find a clientele that matches the product.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Stay positive, find your clientele, and put in as much effort as possible.
