What's your business, and who are your customers?

I cater to plant-based food eaters and high-end dining paired with local wines.

Tell us about yourself

My mother was my inspiration for my culinary career. I grew up and a micro-farm in Tempe, Arizona, where my parents grew most of what we ate. My current focus on plant-based local/regional cuisine has me fired up!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Leaving restaurants and corporate dining behind to follow my dreams.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Finding good help.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Find a mentor.
  2. Hire an accountant/bookkeeper.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

For all of the young aspiring chefs out there, just enjoy cooking and learning. If you are in a hurry to be in charge, you miss out on much of the nuance that makes cooks into great chefs.
