What's your business, and who are your customers?

Chef Lekker is a private chef catering service. We specialize in private parties in homes or businesses. With our tailor-made menus, we can offer a flexible service for smaller parties.

Tell us about yourself

I've been cooking up a storm all over the world for the last 18 years. Now Vancouver is my home. I found a job that matches my personality and love making other people happy.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I made myself a system that works efficiently and flexible to cater for any event I take on.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I find it hard to balance when to save, invest or splurge my profits.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Don't be afraid to change your company in a way to be more successful.
  2. Know when to say no thank you.
  3. Get to know your target market and always be on the lookout for new income streams.
