Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey by launching a counseling business, but not sure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kimberly Mascaro of Conscious Chimera

What's your business and who are your customers?

Conscious Chimera delivers Solutions for Soulful Living through education and counseling.

Tell us about yourself

I wanted to offer unique counseling services that were individualized and soul-centered, instead of centered only on one's thoughts or behaviors or manualized treatment. Supporting women in growing and developing their intuitive senses lights me up.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Staying true to myself and to my clients, instead of putting institutional policies and insurance companies first.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Accepting full and complete responsibility.

What are the top 3 tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Slow down and sit with yourself, ask the hard questions, and only move forward if you can promise to commit.

If there was one thing you could do repeatedly to help grow your business, what would it be?

Meditate! Clients know when we are present with them.

What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance?

Consult my schedule often so I know what I did and what comes next. Promise myself set work hours. No double dipping - for example, when I take a lunch break, I eat, and ignore the screens.

Who are some of your favorite entrepreneurs and why?

Brigette Iarrusso-Soto because she shows her passion, bears her soul and keeps it real.

Where can people find you and your business?
