What's your business, and who are your customers?

I work with clients to help them release blocks that are getting in the way of them from living their best possible life. For some, that may feel like something is blocking their confidence; for others, it's like something is stopping them from being successful; and for many, it blocks creativity - as writer's block. So many people come to me feeling unfulfilled by what they are doing with their lives. They are desperate to change the way they live; they want to feel more purposeful in the work they do and the direction they are moving in but feel helpless to change. I work on many levels to help them feel empowered to make these changes and feel the freedom they need to create the lives they want for themselves and their family. I use various techniques I have mastered over the years, working with the subconscious mind (with regression hypnotherapy), the energetic body with Vortexhealing, and the energetic physical body with Quantum Flow and somatic movement and breath. This is not a stick a plaster over the issue and hopes for things to change. This is work at a deep level. I make the process as enjoyable as it can be whilst being aware of dealing with sensitive issues. It's certainly a massive relief for most and an opportunity to reset your whole life and create something wonderful.

Tell us about yourself

I had a huge mid-life shift myself when my marriage broke down, and I needed to make some radical changes to the way I was living. It's so easy to get stuck in old and outdated ways of being and thinking, and if you open up to other possibilities, the results can be incredible. I felt such monumental changes within myself that I decided to share that with others. I have a creative background and am currently working on creating art installations to help people shift out of anxious states and into more positive, creative states, so my work goes well beyond the traditional therapy formula. Feeling limitless in my capacity to create what I want to create to make an impact in this world is a huge motivation for me. If more people understood that they had the power to make positive shifts in this world, I believe the world would be a kinder, more loving, and balanced place.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Running a business that you believe in and that actually operates is a huge accomplishment. Most people don't feel they can even contemplate taking the step away from security and into self-employment, so having the self-belief, the vision, and the determination to make that work for you is big.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

I think that multitasking on multiple levels is one of the hardest things you have to do as a business owner. As a coach and therapist, I found the time needed to grow and market my business at the beginning was very challenging because it was not my core motivation. However, when you get over this and accept that it's just part of a whole, things become much smoother.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Believe in your capabilities to make it happen.
  2. Have a vision.
  3. Think big, but have smaller steps to get to the big.
