What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a music instruction school in Vancouver, BC, for students ages 4 to adults.

Tell us about yourself

I am a music master's graduate of UBC with an instrumental violin performance major. I have been teaching music since my second year of university, and it has been my passion.

Ultimately, I wanted to start my music school to be able to teach a variety of musical instruments.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is that we are ranked in the top 5 of Vancouver's music schools and have more than 100 students.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The rising costs of daily expenses.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be passionate about your business, always willing to learn, and be involved in all business-related tasks.
