Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Celeste DiDona, Founder of Reclaim Your Life, located in Brewster, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

You know how people are constantly complaining about their weight, lack of energy, and trouble sleeping? Or how their skin is dull and their ligaments hurt? They also complain about not having enough money to do what they want or buy what they desire. Well, I help them solve those problems with proven systems. It has been quite a journey, and I am thrilled to meet and connect with both old and new friends.

Tell us about yourself

Almost eight years ago, my flame felt very dim; in fact, I wasn't even sure if I had a flame anymore. My name is Celeste DiDona - I am a wife, a mom of three beautiful children, and a full-time teacher. I was in survival mode with no bandwidth for anything else. I had lost myself in the day-to-day rat race of work, drowning in motherhood, and my marriage was filled with resentment. We were living paycheck to paycheck. As a full-time teacher with 26 years of experience and two master's degrees, it was frustrating to feel financially capped. Can you believe it? Two years prior, my husband had opened his own small plumbing business. Is anyone here familiar with the inside world of construction? He had never been in business before, so this was all new territory for him. He was still figuring things out. We quickly discovered that independent contractors are not necessarily paid on time.

This left us with more months than money - bills piling up, daycare payments going out, and not enough income coming in. I remember brainstorming ways to earn extra income. I thought about coaching or taking on an additional position at work, but all those options would have required me to trade time for money. Every day, I felt more and more like a shell of myself, but deep down, I knew there was a flicker of light - a tiny flame. I didn't even realize I was searching for something when Network Marketing found me. It all started with a phone call I was considering ignoring. I believe that God is always working for our highest good, and I had an inner knowing to take the call. It was divinely timed. During that call, Heather empathized with how I felt, but she also did something that I will never forget. She had me click on an income sheet and showed me the commissions I could earn with our company. I was blown away by the numbers I saw. Although I didn't take immediate action, a seed was planted - a seed that kept me awake that night, dreaming big. For the first time in forever, my flame began to flicker with possibilities and what-ifs.

Now, what motivates me every day is the opportunity to share that same gift with others. I teach people how to fuel themselves with simple nutrition, and I guide them in building their own network of consumers, giving them more financial flexibility in their lives. For many, this work has ignited a flame in their souls, just as it did for me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I would say the biggest accomplishment for me and my business is earning three incentive trips in a year and being able to teach others how to earn them for themselves.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things to learn about business ownership is developing the mindset of an entrepreneur. It's crucial to recognize that mindset is everything and there will be moments when you feel like your business is moving backward. However, it's important to have the fortitude and discipline to take action so that you can move forward.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Embrace failure. It's a part of all success.
  2. Get so clear on your vision that you have blinders to outside distractions.
  3. Surround yourself with people who are in the arena with you. They can provide you with advice, support, and tough love when necessary.
  4. Protect your energy. Your energy is everything, and it's why people will buy from you. It's your superpower.
