What's your business, and who are your customers?

CB Supplements is the highest certified multi-sourced collagen supplement currently on the market. We are the first and only NSF-certified multi-collagen supplement in the world. We supply everyone from athletes to soccer moms with a grade-A supplement product that promotes glowing skin, improved joint health, and increased hair growth.

Tell us about yourself

I'm 24 years old. I was a 3rd round draft pick by the Texas Rangers in 2016 and played five years of professional baseball. Amidst my career, I also managed to help grow CB Supplements into a disruptive figure in the collagen industry as well as a leader in the Professional Sports Teams space. In 2016 I was released, which is basically like being fired in sports terminology, by the Texas Rangers. Almost a year later, we're now the collagen supplement of choice for the Rangers. The very team that fired me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Currently, half of Major League Baseball teams (16 purchase our product. For me, coming from the professional baseball world, that makes me really proud. Being released by the Texas Rangers and Miami Marlins didn't define me; my next move does. To see that our business is still making an impact in baseball is really cool.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I think Working with a team— We have a handful of partners and with that comes more opinions and more disagreements. That can certainly be a challenge.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Honestly, I really don't have any tips. I'd say try to focus on having a product that meets a need in the market, and from there, the most important thing in any business is selling. From the Founder to the very last employee, a startup needs everybody to be sales-minded.
