What's your business, and who are your customers?
Pluck is an organ-based seasoning that makes eating organ meats both easy and delicious. Our customers are people that want nutrient-rich animal-based foods like Carnivore, Keto, Paleo, and Ancestral eaters.
Tell us about yourself
I was a private chef for 17 years cooking for many A-list actors. I started a Los Angeles-based meal delivery service in 2007 and then started my current food product business in 2020. I believe nutrient-rich foods are integral to our health. I'm grateful that I came up with a way to get the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet deliciously into your diet.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Launching a product that no one had ever tasted or experienced before during a pandemic successfully feels like a huge accomplishment.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
It's what I don't know that is the hardest part of being a business owner. And I don't know a lot!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- It's a marathon, not a race.
- Make sure you can truly stand behind your product. Food has to be delicious.
- Ask for help.
