What's your business, and who are your customers?
It depends on the business. Lol.
Sox Erosion Solutions - SOX Erosion Solutions designs, manufactures, and distributes patented bioengineered erosion control systems that immediately stop and repair shoreline and hillside erosion while promoting vegetation growth. Our lightweight, flexible systems utilize our patented knitted HDPE- technical mesh, designed with "RipStop" technology, for long-lasting and effective erosion control. We educate companies on how to specify, bid, sell, and install our suite of "living shoreline" erosion control systems and perimeter control devices.
Athletic Mindset - We've taken the latest trends in Sports and Organizational psychology that have been proven to improve Athletic Performance and developed an interactive reporting system known as Athletic Mindset, which delivers unparalleled insights into how an athlete, team, or organization thinks. Our proprietary assessment, the Athletic Mindset, measures key areas of how the human mind operates during an athlete's preparation, competition, and interaction with their teammates and coaches. Tell us about yourself
I was an unrecruited bighorn school athlete who got a chance to play lacrosse at a top 10 D1 program and made the best of it. I played lacrosse profession for nine seasons and have worked for small start-up type companies for the last 15 years. I'm driven to prove to myself that I can achieve what I am looking for. Hard to explain.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have not achieved what I want to write here. So let's ask this question in a follow-up interview in a few years.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The risk….. putting yourself out there with ideas, and capital, even when people can't see your vision. You need to be really mentally tough and gritty.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Chase what makes you happy. It's hard, no matter what. So you might as well love the grind because you're going to be in it.
