What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is in education, coaching, and horse-human development. I connect with, educate, and inspire horse owners and horse enthusiasts around the world with my teachings about horse-human relationships, consensual partnership, and conscious leadership.
Tell us about yourself
I am a fine arts professional by trade, and horsemanship is now my art. I’ve always had horses, and after spending 15 years in the advertising industry, I decided to switch my career from graphics art to horse training. I was longing for a connection to horses again, and I love teaching, so combining the two was a perfect fit. I am motivated to do what I do each day because of the positive impact I can make in the lives of horses and humans and their relationships.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Making my students, both 2-legged and 4-legged happy, well-adjusted, and confident.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Believing in yourself and finding the courage to keep going when things get tough, and finances are tight.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
I would recommend finding a mentor in your business, saving money, and always believing in yourself.
