Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Carole Sanek, Certified Spiritual Life Coach, located in Greenville, SC, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a certified life coach and published author, and my business is Carole L Sanek. I have published a book, "Fractured-Living with Grief," and I have two books soon to be released. The first one is "Forgive," which is an e-book on that topic. The second one is "Firewalkers," and it's an interview book about walking through the fires of breast cancer and the pinnacles of success these firewalkers have attained. I also have a daily 2-minute coaching podcast to inspire and get people to think about their lives. I am a helper dedicated to helping others.

Tell us about yourself

I had wanted to be a writer since elementary school, and while I took different career paths in life, I returned to writing by blogging for years before opening a marketing business where I wrote for other people. I kept going. Soon I had podcasts, and I was invited to speak in public on social media marketing. I still kept going, and I added a live streaming weekly show called #ThriveLive, which ran for over four years. I am motivated every day by my fans. If I even hint at slowing down, they are all over me, asking me to keep going, and I do.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I would have to say being nominated and voted on as the best marketing business in the Greater Tampa Bay area by the Tampa Bay Business Journal and winning awards for my health care blogs.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Making money consistently, I won't lie. It takes guts to keep doing it, to keep trying, to get out of bed.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do not share your ideas with anyone. If you are just getting started, tell no one. Ideas do get stolen. Shhhhhhh.
  2. Know your market. Know what is trending. Know the people who can help you.
  3. Know no strangers, pound the pavement at networking groups, get professional business cards, and don't be cheap.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Well, heck yeah. My podcast can be found at https://thrivelive.podbean.com; please give it a listen and be inspired.
