What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a Business Consultant, Not a Coach! Business coaches help you implement what we design for your business. We provide individuals and their employees with the tools, training, information, and contacts they need to improve their business success.

Tell us about yourself

After having over 45 years of experience in sales and marketing as well as business development, web design, photography, and video production, I was shocked to discover that I knew things that others did not when it came to sales and marketing their business. I also found that most people I met needed help to afford a business coach or consultant.

With that knowledge, I decided to provide accessible business consulting to anyone for up to one year at no cost. This has been a rewarding experience helping people achieve their goals and watching them grow with simple tools, techniques, and connections I have provided since 2010.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment has been to take the knowledge I have gained over 45+ years from my successful personal mentors and save many people the time, money, and mistakes I have made over the years.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

In my Success Workshops, I explain that working for someone else is much easier but less rewarding. As a business owner, you receive all the glory when you get it right, but you also receive all the blame when you get it wrong.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Before starting a new business, Research, Research! Find out everything you can about your industry, who is successful and why, your competition, and what it will take to become successful.
  2. Don't follow conventional wisdom! 90% of traditional knowledge is wrong. Question everything and everyone you come in contact with. Just because everyone else does it a certain way doesn't mean you need to do it that way.
  3. Never Stop Learning! I have been at this for over 45 years, and I learn something new daily. What was good or right yesterday may not be a solution for today. Your mind works best like a parachute... when it is open.
