Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in candy, but not sure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Sarah Takforyan, the founder of La Boîte à Bonbons, a candy business.

Tell us all about your business...

We are candy business! Our goal is to spread happiness, one candy at a time. And we truly believe that there is no age limit to eat candies. Our customers are kids, adults, older adults...

What's your background and motivation to grow as a business owner?

I launched my company because I love candies! I thought this would be a great way to share my passion for something that brings me joy everyday! I love trying new candies all the time.

As an entrepreneur, what does success ultimately mean to you?

I have come across many challenges in the past few years, but I believe that managing my business through Covid was quite something. Overnight we had to ship as many orders in one day as we used to in one month...

What's one of the hardest things that come with being an entrepreneur?

Letting go.. It's difficult to detach yourself from your business. I think about it every second of every day. The key is to surround yourself with the right people.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run or grow a small business today?

1. Be passionate about what you do because this is your life now.

2. Hire the people that you can trust with your business.

3. Learn to breath and take a step back from time to time.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

It's really important to talk about your business with people. Don't be afraid to share information. I have learnt so much from simple discussions with fellow business owners!
