What's your business, and who are your customers?
We specialize in HR functions such as Training: Leadership, Management, Conflict Resolution, Sexual Harassment, Diversity, and Inclusion Audits: I-9, Employee Records, Employee Book, and HR Department Audit Consultation: Conflict Resolution, Job Description Development, Employee Evaluation, Workplace Investigation, and Employee Termination.
Tell us about yourself
I served 20 years in The US Army. After retirement, I joined the workforce as an HR Generalist for a non-profit organization. After some years in the workforce, I wanted to have more control of my time and enjoy retirement while remaining productive. Loving what I do and helping many small businesses and non-profit owners by providing affordable services that would be more expensive if they maintained a full-time HR Manager.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My business is relatively new, but my most significant accomplishment up to now was to take the plunge and become a business owner.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The daily grind I work harder now than I did when I was a nine-to-five employee. There will be down days, even weeks, that make you doubt what you are doing. Putting time into developing training, processes, and templates without compensation in the front end can be difficult. But a person must continue to grind, and it will pay off in the future.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don't Quit once things get complicated.
- Manage Expectations.
- Be proud of what you created and your accomplishments achieved.
