What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a neighbourhood coffee shop where EVERYONE can sit down and have a chat, work, study, or savour one of our meals, pastries, or delicious coffees. Feel at home!
Tell us about yourself
We are owners who have a passion for different things. Pierre is a food and coffee lover. His passion revolves around comfort foods and amazing coffees. He loves to try new and amazing flavours. I am a behind-the-scenes person. My passion for the community is reflected through the coffee's help to its community by giving meals and coffee beans to various organizations.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
In the last two years, our priority, through the pandemic, was to stay open in order to bring joy to our clientele. We knew that our coffee and comfort food brings joy to them in these troubling times.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
We are business owners who take care of our clientele and our staff. Throughout the pandemic, we have tried to bring joy to them. Obviously, this is not always the easiest thing to do.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Perseverance! This is probably the biggest one you need to have on a daily basis. You need to fight for your business.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Canard Cafe is more than a coffee shop. It's a place where every human is important!
