Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with JeQuetta Canady, Founder of Canady Global Solutions LLC, located in Opelika, AL, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a Business Ally. I help business owners and entrepreneurs set a credible foundation for their business, from entity setup to establishing business credit and being positioned to scale.

Tell us about yourself

My story is one of endurance, resilience, and strength. After a troubled childhood, a breast cancer diagnosis, and forced military retirement, I decided to launch into entrepreneurship. In my experience as a new entrepreneur, I saw firsthand the struggles of starting, maintaining, and growing a business. I also saw the lack of knowledge being shared with other struggling businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs, so I decided to help guide others through the process. It was through my military career, however, that God not only showed me who He was in me but who I was in Him. I have faced many trials and failures, yet I have had many promotions and successes, and through it all, I held on to where my strength comes from. My mantra is Philippians 4:13, "I CAN DO all things through Christ who strengthens me" - and I want you to know if J-CAN-DO, so can YOU!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is never giving up. Time changes, trends change, people change, but staying true to my purpose and calling no matter what means the most to me.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things for me as a business owner is one of the most critical, and that is being consistent. And being diagnosed with dyslexia, it is one of the most challenging. That's why having systems, automation, and accountability is critical to success.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

The top three tips I'd give to anyone looking to start and maintain a successful business are to:

  1. Know your calling, your purpose, and your why.
  2. Start with a credible foundation from the start, personally and on the business side.
  3. Seek out mentors and/or coaches in your field for advice and accountability.
