What's your business, and who are your customers?

Internationally recognized nutritionist and bestselling author. My readers are people interested in living longer, getting healthier and happier by implementing healthy lifestyle changes.

Tell us about yourself

I practice what I preach, eating healthy foods and exercising regularly.

Do you have daily rituals for work / wellness / fitness / mindfulness?

I always get a good night's sleep and have the luxury of waking up when I naturally wake up (the best thing about getting old!). I drink coffee in the morning and get a nice dose of antioxidants. Plus, I take an hour after waking up to chill, drink my coffee, and get ready for the day ahead.
I take my meds and supplements in the morning and evening.

Exercise:
I take my dog for long walks daily to get my steps in. I started taking a 60-minute yoga class several times a week to help with my balance, stress reduction, and mindfulness. I do band workouts three times a week for strength training.

Work:
I only take on work that is of interest to me and is not going to be overwhelming. I do something productive every day. I use my brain to read, research, and write every day.

Diet:
I eat a plant-based diet with occasional seafood and Greek non-fat yogurt. I have a glass of red wine with dinner most nights of the week. I truly enjoy eating delicious, healthy food.

Mindset:
I am very grateful for all the blessings I have in my life and have a very optimistic, happy disposition (despite the heavy weight of recent losses and the pandemic years). I surround myself with people (and animals) I love and distance myself from those that are toxic.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping thousands of people around the world make healthy, positive changes in their lifestyles.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Writing is the easy part. Promoting my books is the hard part.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Never give up striving to create your dream.
