What's your business, and who are your customers?
We make candles, wax melts, and body butters. We use all-natural soy wax, and the goal is to create a candle that doesn't just satisfy our customers but also gives them relaxing vibes and a smile.
Tell us about yourself
I'm a mom of 4 beautiful little people, and they are my motivation to get up each and every day and live. So many I've been stagnant in life; I'll look at them, and there's my push! I started making candles during the pandemic. I found myself getting bored and losing my purpose in life. I wanted to give my children better, and I needed a plan. Candles came to mind because I love them. I love anything that smells good and didn't want to keep spending money on candles I eventually forget are burning because I can't smell them. So I started researching candle making, and I bought a kit.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is my progress from making my first successful candle to my first sale.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I'm a business owner, but it's the marketing part for me. Like it's always fun and therapeutic when making candles, but it's challenging when having to do the whole "business" side. But I love challenges.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be sure to do your research on whatever it is you're choosing to do. One of my biggest mistakes was walking into this blind, thinking I knew what I was doing.
- Be confident in yourself and your work, or no one will take you seriously.
- Grind and stay the course. It's not easy; nothing will happen overnight.
And consistency. Consistency is key. You have to stay consistent.

Have fun in whatever you do, and don't let anyone's negativity stray you away from your path.
